The School

Founded in 1716 by the Most Honorable and Loyal Society of Ancient Britons in order to provide an education for children of Welsh parentage in London. In 1857 moved to its present site in Ashford. The school is on the site of 30 acres with a lake on the outskirt of Ashford.
The main building is very handsome and stands in a beautiful gardens,  fine chapel, modern buildings which are well appointed and well equipped

Key Stage 3
Years 7, 8 and 9

Girls are taught in an average class size of 17.
Year 7: English, Mathematics, Science - Biology, Chemistry and Physics, History, Geography, French, German, Religious Studies, ICT, Music, Drama, Art, Food Technology, Design, Technology, Physical Education
Year 8: As above but pupils also study Spanish for half of the year, choosing either Spanish or German to study in Year 9, in addition to French. Year 9: As above with the introduction of Textiles for part of the year.
Key Stage 4
Years 10 and 11

All pupils take at least 9 GCSE's. Compulsory subjects are:
English, English Literature, Mathematics, Double Award Science. Four options are then chosen from the following: Art, Business Studies, Design Technology, Extended Science, (leading to three separate Science GCSE's) Food Technology, French, Geography, German, History, ICT, Music, Physical Education (GCSE), Spanish, Textiles. Pupils also participate in P.E. and Games for four periods each week.
