The Centre

King's International Study Centre was opened in 1999 under the aegis of King's School, Ely, to prepare children from overseas for entry to good independent senior schools in Britain. The Centre occupies a self-contained site comprising modern classroom block and boarding house. The classroom block also houses the administrative offices for the Centre, a science laboratory, language laboratory, computer room and common room. Students at the Study Centre are integrated into the main school for all meals and also use the main school's library, IT facilities and science laboratories and sports facilities.

Academic Profile

Pupils spend one, two or three terms at King's International Study Centre. The timetable places an emphasis on English language tuition, but in addition there are lessons in Business Studies (or Geography), Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Maths and Science as well as study skills in how to prepare for study and examinations in a British boarding school.
