The School
Godolphin School was founded in 1726 and has occupied its present site since 1891. The main school building is Victorian, but there have been many additions since, including a 5-studio art department, a refurbished sixth form centre, boarding houses and, most recently, a splendid performing arts centre which opened in 1996. Although within walking distance of the centre of the ancient city of Salisbury with its famous cathedral, the school is surrounded by gardens and playing fields overlooking open countryside.
