The College
Ashbourne College was founded in 1981 and has been accredited by the British Accreditation Council since March 1993. The College has a strong international flavour, with 30% of students coming from the Americas, Africa, the Middle and Far East and Europe. Occupying 2 buildings (one on each side of Kensington High Street), the College offers tuition in small groups (maximum 10 students per class) and facilities include purpose-built science laboratories, computer room, studio for Art & Design and Photography and a multimedia department with access to video and sound editing, creative publishing, graphic design and computer animation.
Academic Profile
Ashbourne College offers courses leading to the new AS and A2 examinations, and specialist programmes are also offered in Medical School entry, Business & Finance and Information Technology.

Students are housed in local student hostels, usually run by charitable organisations, with wardens on hand 24 hours per day. Twin rooms are provided (a very small number of single rooms are available for students who book well in advance), as are laundry facilities, and accommodation is on a half board basis.
