The School
Abingdon School's origins date back to the 12th century when a school was established as an offshoot of the Benedictine Abbey of Abingdon, although the buildings of the present school campus date mainly from Victorian times, with fine and sensitive additions from the late 20th century. Prime amongst these later additions is a well-equipped classroom block and theatre and concert hall. In addition to four playing fields, the school boasts extensive gardens which provide oases of tranquillity for students.
